HEALING ANGER THE POWER OF PATIENCE FROM A BUDDHIST PERSPECTIVE
By His Holiness the Dalai Lama
"Genuine peace of mind is rooted in affection and compassion. There is a very high degree of sensitivity and feeling involved. So long as we lack inner discipline, an inner calmness of mind, then no matter what external facilities or conditions we have, they will never give us the feeling of joy and happiness we seek".
WORKING WITH ANGER
By Bhikshunni Thubten Chodron
"To begin to counteract our habits of resentment, frustration, and so forth, it is helpful to look inside and observe our emotional patterns. Are there particular topics that inevitably provoke agitation in us? Do we habitually feel angry in certain situations? Noticing these reactions, we can do further research and ascertain exactly what our mind is projecting and fearing."

Reality Checks
Reality Checks
"We have to cultivate contentment with what we have.
We really don't need much.
When you know this, the mind settles down. Cultivate generosity.
Delight in giving.
Learn to live lightly.
In this way we can begin to transform what is negative into what is positive.
This how how we start to grow up"
Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo
"Aware of the suffering caused by the destruction of life, I undertake to cultivate compassion and learn ways to protect the lives of people, animals, plants and minerals."
